CEO
Stephen brings 13 years of engineering and military experience to Athena AI, with prior positions at Airbus, Rocket Lab and BAE Systems on new development programs as a design engineer. Stephen is also a commissioned Army reserves officer within the Royal Australian Infantry Corps.

Cameron Fox
Head of Operations
Cameron leads project operations at Athena AI. Cameron has a degree in mechatronics engineering, with prior positions as an Operations manager for a robotics company and as a design and test engineer in construction automation, as well as having run his own small business.
Daniel Hudson
Chief Engineer
Co-founding Member
Daniel leads high level technical integration at Athena AI focused primarily on standard and bespoke customer solutions. Daniel brings 10 years of experience in robotics design, testing and integration having held positions at Mining3 CRC and Cyborg Dynamics Engineering.

Rahul Kota
AI Lead
Rahul leads the team of Machine Learning Operations, Data Scientists and Dataset generation team. Prior to joining Athena, Rahul worked as an AI researcher at University of Queensland, focusing on topics including facial recognition and Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) for MRIs.
Engineering Lead
Shane leads the engineering team at Athena AI, working across algorithm development, software development, simulation and software integration.
Shane Rapmund
Alessandro Carcione - PhD
Senior Engineer
Alessandro brings extensive multidisciplinary skills to Athena, with experience in materials, electronics, ultrasonics and networking. Alessandro works on complex technical integrations as well as new technology developments at Athena AI having previously been a post doctoral researcher at UQ, collaborating on industry projects.
Principal Data Scientist
Simon is the lead AI researcher at Athena focused on applying state of the art models and algorithms into the development pipeline. Simon has 13 years of experience in data science having worked as an economist and in logistics optimisation using machine learning before focusing on deep learning.
